Once I got back into regularly using makeup post immediate pandemic, I realized I needed to step up my eyeshadow game. ColourPop was one of the first that I noticed, and I started watching the brand. Then I bought my first Shadow Stix in April 2024 and fell in love.

The Shadow Stix line is excellent. I’d venture to say it’s my favorite eyeshadow stick in the kit, and I have a lot of eyeshadow sticks. The formula is creamy and easy to apply, the sticks are highly pigmented for all matte and metallic varieties and the price point is fantastic. With good eyeshadow there is no creasing or pilling to be found, it doesn’t move around once set and the color does not fade; when I use them, it looks just as fresh at 9 p.m. as it did at 9 a.m.

Shadow-Stix-Flex-Metallic

The Shadow Stix in the shade Flex Metallic is my favorite shade. It is highly pigmented and blends easily.

The shade range is great also, although shades do come in and out of rotation. As an added bonus, the Stix pair very well with CP’s BFF Creme Gel Liners. CP is great about brand synergy – especially with between these two products – so when I want to cut my crease and then use a matching shadow, I have options that work well together.

I currently have the 16 shades above in the gallery and will add more with new releases. Note that the ColourPop x The Grinch Stix is a limited time only collab that will probably disappear after the holiday season. It was released at $16.00 and is now at $7.99 so act fast if you would like to get these. Also, these are not kept with the main stix; when I bought them from Ulta they were in a different part of the store, not anywhere close to the CP display. They are also in a different part of the CP website.
