Wet N Wild makeup has been around for a long time. As such, I was using it as a beginner in the early 1990s. I was mostly using their lipstick because that was the only makeup I was allowed to use until I turned 16, and I had some favorites. However, the older I got and the deeper I got into makeup, the more I realized I had to evolve my makeup. That said, every now and then I return to my roots and I pick up affordable products to try.

Wet N Wild is about as budget friendly as you can get. Their products are cheaper than even the most frequent drugstore brands and depending on where you buy it, it can be a bargain price. But remember, you get what you pay for with this.

The Multi-Use Sticks have a variety of uses: Eyeshadow, highlighter, blush, and lipstick. In my tests, I purchased 4 sticks: Poppy-lar (pink), Blue Me Away (blue), Green and Champagne Room (Gold) to use primarily and only as an eyeshadow. The pink, blue and green were purchased through Amazon and the gold was bought at Walgreens. The price point in both places and the Wet N Wild website is the lure: $3.29 at Walgreens, $2.94 at Amazon and $4.99 at Wet N Wild directly.

It’s easy to use and goes on creamy and smooth. However, the problems set in almost immediately. As I said in my Amazon review, it pills and creases on the eye even with good eyeshadow primer. And it didn’t take long: After about 3 hours, the creasing began with the green shade. Also, after a long day of wear — about 9 or 10 hours — it was hard to remove using even the best makeup remover. And, as a major downside, it didn’t stay put with the primer. After the creasing began, I found some on the bridge of my nose. Be prepared for movement and creasing more so than usual. What I gleaned from this test: Use the Multi-Sticks as a base for other shadow. If you’re using this solo, don’t expect longwear from it.

Verdict: The Multi-Use Sticks aren’t absolutely terrible. They’re great for the price point, are easy to apply and are full coverage. Just don’t expect a lot from it beyond a few hours and expect creasing if you’re going to wear it on its own, even with good eyeshadow primer.
