Camp\u00ading with friends<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

My love affair with Ani\u00admal Cross\u00ading began in 2003, a year after the Game\u00adCube ver\u00adsion was released in the U.S. It wasn\u2019t enough to mere\u00adly start a life with a char\u00adac\u00adter \u2014 known as Rubes(kitty) \u2014 in my pro\u00adce\u00addu\u00adral\u00adly gen\u00ader\u00adat\u00aded town known as Tokyo; I had to col\u00adlect every\u00adthing in my cat\u00ada\u00adlogue, build my house into a man\u00adsion and catch every insect and fish just for com\u00adple\u00adtion sake. In the ensu\u00ading 16 years, I have played every iter\u00ada\u00adtion of Ani\u00admal Cross\u00ading avail\u00adable. So, you can imag\u00adine my pal\u00adpa\u00adble joy when a mobile ver\u00adsion of Ani\u00admal Cross\u00ading was announced in 2016. Cue Ani\u00admal Cross\u00ading: Pock\u00adet Camp in 2017, and I\u2019m still going strong in my quest to build the per\u00adfect camp.<\/span><\/p>\n

Pock\u00adet Camp is a spin\u00adoff of the main Ani\u00admal Cross\u00ading series but retains ele\u00adments of the series. Famil\u00adiar tasks such as pay\u00ading off your debt for your liv\u00ading quar\u00adters, com\u00adplet\u00ading requests for ani\u00admals that vis\u00adit or improv\u00ading your finances through item sales are abun\u00addant in the Pock\u00adet Camp land\u00adscape. New to the series is the timed rota\u00adtion of the ani\u00admals that are in one of four loca\u00adtions scat\u00adtered around the land\u00adscape. Four ani\u00admals will be in these loca\u00adtions with options to talk to you and request items; whether you choose to give them the spe\u00adcif\u00adic items they request or just chat it up for expe\u00adri\u00adence points is up to you. Also new are the afore\u00admen\u00adtioned expe\u00adri\u00adence points. Each ani\u00admal has a meter that gauges their friend\u00adship lev\u00adel with you. The high\u00ader the lev\u00adel, the more rewards they give in exchange for items they request. The rewards are also new, usu\u00adal\u00adly in the form of Leaf Tick\u00adets and raw mate\u00adri\u00adals that are used in craft\u00ading fur\u00adni\u00adture and clothes that can be used to dec\u00ado\u00adrate your camp site and RV<\/span>.<\/span><\/p>\n

Pock\u00adet Camp, in its most sim\u00adplis\u00adtic form, is a dumb\u00aded down portable Ani\u00admal Cross\u00ading main game that requires inven\u00adto\u00adry man\u00adage\u00adment and micro trans\u00adac\u00adtions. And it\u2019s a sat\u00adis\u00adfy\u00ading way to get that quick Ani\u00admal Cross\u00ading fix. Much like the main series, it\u2019s relax\u00ading and fun to pop in and check with the camp site to see what\u2019s hap\u00adpen\u00ading, pick up some gifts or get involved in fes\u00adti\u00advals and events at my own leisure. Time is still mea\u00adsured real\u00adis\u00adti\u00adcal\u00adly, and insects and fish are still viable at cer\u00adtain times, though the sea\u00adson require\u00adment is not in use. Mon\u00adey is still prac\u00adti\u00adcal\u00adly around every cor\u00adner, and it\u2019s eas\u00adi\u00ader than ever to pay off the debt of upgrad\u00ading your hum\u00adble abode when rare bugs and fish are more plen\u00adti\u00adful this time around. It\u2019s also quite nice to be able to buy items from oth\u00ader play\u00aders world\u00adwide in an item mar\u00adket\u00adplace with the Mar\u00adket Box\u00ades option. The econ\u00ado\u00admy that has devel\u00adoped still has some work to do, but the abil\u00adi\u00adty to find rare insects, fruit, shells and fish for sale from oth\u00ader friends and strangers is a great start.<\/span><\/p>\n

For a long\u00adtime Ani\u00admal Cross\u00ading play\u00ader, the fun in Pock\u00adet Camp is imme\u00addi\u00adate\u00adly there but not with\u00adout some caveats. After a cer\u00adtain point, the in-game cur\u00adren\u00adcy of Bells ceas\u00ades to be a prob\u00adlem. While scarce in the ear\u00adly going, Bells aren\u2019t an issue once the final upgrade for the RV<\/span> is obtained and paid off. I now reg\u00adu\u00adlar\u00adly have about 1.8 mil\u00adlion Bells on hand dai\u00adly and can\u2019t spend it fast enough on things oth\u00ader than craft\u00ading and a rare item inven\u00adto\u00adry econ\u00ado\u00admy that has con\u00adve\u00adnient\u00adly sprung up in my friends list. This is like the issue of Bells in the main series so while it\u2019s not sur\u00adpris\u00ading, it\u2019s still an issue that needs to be reme\u00addied with more things to do. And, the price of Leaf Tick\u00adets is a bit much. Their addi\u00adtion is help\u00adful, but their pric\u00ading should be adjust\u00aded. Also, in-game cur\u00adren\u00adcy should be allowed to be used to buy Leaf Tick\u00adets. That would give anoth\u00ader rea\u00adson to hoard mon\u00adey lat\u00ader in the game.<\/span><\/p>\n

While it might not be a main\u00adline game, Ani\u00admal Cross\u00ading: Pock\u00adet Camp is still a neat and wel\u00adcome addi\u00adtion to the Ani\u00admal Cross\u00ading fran\u00adchise. With its con\u00adtin\u00adued updates and addi\u00adtions, the Ani\u00admal Cross\u00ading pop\u00adu\u00adla\u00adtion is still growing.<\/span><\/p>\n
