Jus\u00adtice takes a new form<\/span><\/p>\n

There have been a few DC<\/span> Comics fight\u00ading games that have tak\u00aden advan\u00adtage of its vari\u00adable super\u00adhero and metahu\u00adman ros\u00adter. Jus\u00adtice League Task Force and Mor\u00adtal Kom\u00adbat vs. DC<\/span> Uni\u00adverse are among those that come to mind. And because of MK<\/span> vs. DC<\/span> Uni\u00adverse, brought to you pre-Mid\u00adway implo\u00adsion by the com\u00adpa\u00adny that cre\u00adat\u00aded that step in the direc\u00adtion of redemp\u00adtion, DC<\/span> was able to fore\u00adsee the fruits of mak\u00ading a decent game based on their prop\u00ader\u00adties. Enter Injus\u00adtice: Gods Among Us.<\/span><\/p>\n

Let\u2019s get straight to the point: Mar\u00advel has had the mar\u00adket cor\u00adnered on fight\u00ading games involv\u00ading super\u00adheroes for some time now, thanks to the resource\u00adful\u00adness and shady under\u00adtones that are Cap\u00adcom. So, for Injus\u00adtice to stand a chance in the sud\u00adden\u00adly re-crowd\u00aded fight\u00ading game are\u00adna, it had to be some\u00adthing spe\u00adcial. Thank\u00ading those gods among us, it is.<\/span><\/p>\n

Injus\u00adtice plays much like the 2011 reboot of Mor\u00adtal Kom\u00adbat. The com\u00adbat sys\u00adtem is a lot like it in tone and rhythm and the ani\u00adma\u00adtion style and fram\u00ading is much like it as well. If you can play that incar\u00adna\u00adtion of MK<\/span>, more than like\u00adly you\u2019re going to be able to pick up Injus\u00adtice and run with it in a few short hours. And much like the MK<\/span> reboot, there\u2019s much more under the pret\u00adty coat of nos\u00adtal\u00adgia. Injus\u00adtice is deep, with plen\u00adty to keep the fight\u00ading game crowd com\u00ading back for more and just enough to pique the inter\u00adest of casu\u00adals who don\u2019t know much about fight\u00ading games but want to see who would win in a Bat\u00adman vs. Super\u00adman battle.<\/span><\/p>\n

That\u2019s some\u00adthing else that\u2019s going to draw in even the unini\u00adti\u00adat\u00aded: the name recog\u00adni\u00adtion. Yes, lots of folks now know who the mer\u00adry band of mutants are over at Mar\u00advel, but mil\u00adlions more know the names Bat\u00adman, Jok\u00ader, Super\u00adman, the Flash, Lex Luthor and Won\u00adder Woman. That instant brand recog\u00adni\u00adtion is what com\u00adpels a cer\u00adtain part of you to come back and learn more about what\u2019s real\u00adly a good game. While you might not know who Dooms\u00adday is or why the Omega Sanc\u00adtion is instant\u00adly fatal to most liv\u00ading beings, you know the names behind the main char\u00adac\u00adters for play, or at least most of them, by sight alone.<\/span><\/p>\n

That brand recog\u00adni\u00adtion plays a large part in why the game is suc\u00adcess\u00adful in its mis\u00adsion: The pack\u00adage around it does\u00adn\u2019t have to be slick and beau\u00adti\u00adful, but it is. And it\u2019s enough to make the price to play worth it. Tak\u00ading into account the work that Nether\u00adRealm Stu\u00addios pre\u00advi\u00adous\u00adly com\u00adplet\u00aded, Injus\u00adtice is quite the step up graph\u00adi\u00adcal\u00adly. Every back\u00adground is gor\u00adgeous and lav\u00adish in the game that\u2019s already beau\u00adti\u00adful from the out\u00adset. The graph\u00adics step up from MK<\/span> vs. DCU<\/span> in a way that have to be seen to be believed. And while it does\u00adn\u2019t seem like the game could get any bet\u00adter look\u00ading, then there\u2019s the char\u00adac\u00adter mod\u00adels. Every char\u00adac\u00adter is accu\u00adrate, down to the details from sto\u00adry\u00adline arcs such as Cri\u00adsis on Infi\u00adnite Earths dif\u00adfer\u00adences. How\u00adev\u00ader, while the graph\u00adics wow, the music isn\u2019t great. It\u2019s not ter\u00adri\u00adble, either, but it\u2019s not exact\u00adly turn-up-the-vol\u00adume qual\u00adi\u00adty. It\u2019s just there, which is high\u00adly unusu\u00adal for the team known for pro\u00adduc\u00ading out\u00adstand\u00ading sound\u00adtracks in the MK<\/span> series.<\/span><\/p>\n

I may not be able to tell you exact\u00adly who would win in a fight between Dark\u00adseid and Black Adam, but I can make the point that Injus\u00adtice does the DC<\/span> uni\u00adverse quite a bit of, well, jus\u00adtice when it comes to a qual\u00adi\u00adty fight\u00ading game fea\u00adtur\u00ading the Dark Knight, Boy Won\u00adder and Man of Steel.<\/span><\/p>\n

Which ver\u00adsion to buy?<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

There are two ver\u00adsions to choose from: reg\u00adu\u00adlar edi\u00adtion and ulti\u00admate edi\u00adtion. Ulti\u00admate edi\u00adtion, while cost\u00ading con\u00adsid\u00ader\u00adably more, is the bet\u00adter bar\u00adgain because it fea\u00adtures all of the released DLC<\/span> and char\u00adac\u00adter skins. It also comes with Mor\u00adtal Kom\u00adbat com\u00adbat\u00adant and stal\u00adwart Scor\u00adpi\u00adon as a playable character.<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
