A class in mas\u00adter crafting<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

There are always games that come with a cer\u00adtain amount of hype. These are the titles that every\u00adone raves about but wind up on your nev\u00ader-end\u00ading pile of shame. You\u2019ll prob\u00ada\u00adbly buy it but nev\u00ader actu\u00adal\u00adly get around to play\u00ading it or play\u00ading it long enough to see what all the fuss is about. Lit\u00adtleBig\u00adPlan\u00adet is one of those such games.
\nQuirky is the first adjec\u00adtive I\u2019d use to describe the plat\u00adform\u00ading game fea\u00adtur\u00ading Sack\u00adboy, an anthro\u00adpo\u00admor\u00adphic crea\u00adture that\u2019s fea\u00adtured front and cen\u00adter at the heart of the game. Sack\u00adboy can be Sack\u00adgirl as well, and that\u2019s part of the charm of the game. It can be what\u00adev\u00ader you want it to be and do just about any\u00adthing you want it to do, in the name of get\u00adting from point A to point B. The quirk\u00adi\u00adness comes in the fact that the envi\u00adron\u00adment in which it does so is all about Play-Share-Cre\u00adate. The lev\u00adels of Lit\u00adtleBig\u00adPlan\u00adet are meant to be user-cre\u00adat\u00aded and shared for online play among the LBP<\/span> com\u00admu\u00adni\u00adty, so the depth of the game is imme\u00addi\u00adate\u00adly obvi\u00adous and worth the price of admis\u00adsion alone.
\nCon\u00adtrol\u00adling Sackboy\/girl is sim\u00adple, yet not with\u00adout its prob\u00adlems. It\u2019s much like play\u00ading any plat\u00adformer of the past 20 years and the con\u00adtrol scheme is sim\u00adple and intu\u00aditive in let\u00adting you fig\u00adure out what to do and how to apply it lat\u00ader. Where it fal\u00adters is the jump\u00ading mechan\u00adics. While obvi\u00adous and sim\u00adple, the jump\u00ading does feel slight\u00adly off and floaty, which is a prob\u00adlem in a game that relies on that mechan\u00adic to car\u00adry it. It\u2019s annoy\u00ading to have to re-do sec\u00adtions of a lev\u00adel sole\u00adly because of a missed jump, and that detracts from the core experience.
\nWhile the mechan\u00adics could use tweak\u00ading, not much else needs work. The sound\u00adtrack is fan\u00adtas\u00adtic and fits the game per\u00adfect\u00adly. It\u2019s a good mix\u00adture of indie folk and pop, and it imme\u00addi\u00adate\u00adly reminds of the bril\u00adliance that is Kata\u00admari Dama\u00adcy. The graph\u00adics are also in the realm of per\u00adfect and evoke a cer\u00adtain sort of charm that begs more playthroughs just to see what devel\u00adop\u00ader Media Mol\u00ade\u00adcule could come up with next. It\u2019s breath\u00adtak\u00ading and sim\u00adplis\u00adtic, like a child\u2019s world come to life, and begs to be admired.
\nLit\u00adtleBig\u00adPlan\u00adet is one of the few games of the past few years that demands to be played and war\u00adrants pur\u00adchase of sys\u00adtem just to play it. If you haven\u2019t both\u00adered to play it by now, you need to stop what you\u2019re doing and get on it. It has its minor prob\u00adlems but they\u2019re noth\u00ading to keep you from enjoy\u00ading what\u2019s con\u00adsid\u00adered a mas\u00adter\u00adpiece. It\u2019s worth every moment of its Play-Share-Cre\u00adate moniker.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
