Lat\u00adest fight\u00ading col\u00adlec\u00adtion is a mod\u00adern Marvel<\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n I might have got\u00adten mad at Cap\u00adcom with this release if they had\u00adn\u2019t includ\u00aded every\u00adthing I need\u00aded for a mod\u00adern Ver\u00adsus col\u00adlec\u00adtion. As I am wont to do when there is a new Cap\u00adcom cash grab, I take a hard, long look at the offer\u00adings and judge whether it\u2019s worth my dol\u00adlars or is skip\u00adpable. With Mar\u00advel vs. Cap\u00adcom Fight\u00ading Col\u00adlec\u00adtion: Arcade Clas\u00adsics, that judg\u00ading pro\u00adduced a win\u00adning run on my wal\u00adlet quickly.<\/span><\/p>\n Let\u2019s get straight to the point. The Mar\u00advel vs. Cap\u00adcom col\u00adlec\u00adtion, while great, is exact\u00adly like the oth\u00ader col\u00adlec\u00adtions Cap\u00adcom has released in the past four years. If you already bought the Cap\u00adcom Clas\u00adsics Col\u00adlec\u00adtions with the entire Vam\u00adpire series and then Cap\u00adcom vs. SNK<\/span> 2 and Rival Schools, you already know what to expect with this. The pack\u00adage of games this time, how\u00adev\u00ader, is strict\u00adly Ver\u00adsus series titles. Every\u00adthing from the start of the series is includ\u00aded \u2014 start\u00ading with X\u2011Men: Chil\u00addren of the Atom and end\u00ading with Mar\u00advel vs. Cap\u00adcom 2. All ver\u00adsions fea\u00adtured are the arcade ports of the respec\u00adtive games with train\u00ading modes and secrets unlocked from the begin\u00adning. So, no, you won\u2019t have to play to unlock all char\u00adac\u00adters in MvC2 or go through the round\u00adabout unlock\u00ading process in MvC. That makes it eas\u00adi\u00adly acces\u00adsi\u00adble, which I need because I\u2019m not about the unlock\u00ading life at this stage of the game.<\/span><\/p>\n The col\u00adlec\u00adtion looks and plays like the oth\u00ader col\u00adlec\u00adtions. There is a sound\u00adtrack mode and gal\u00adleries with infor\u00adma\u00adtion and pro\u00admo\u00adtion\u00adal art\u00adwork for each game along with leader\u00adboards and online play for all games. Cap\u00adcom did\u00adn\u2019t rock the boat with the pre\u00adsen\u00adta\u00adtion and I guess fig\u00adured, it worked for the oth\u00ader pack\u00adages we\u2019ve released so don\u2019t be dif\u00adfer\u00adent. I\u2019m not com\u00adplain\u00ading because that\u2019s exact\u00adly what I expect. I want famil\u00adiar\u00adi\u00adty so I can just jump right in when I\u2019m ready. \nThere isn\u2019t too much that I don\u2019t love about the col\u00adlec\u00adtion. Going in and out the train\u00ading mode is slight\u00adly tedious \u2014 as it is with the oth\u00ader col\u00adlec\u00adtions \u2014 but it\u2019s not a deal\u00adbreak\u00ader. The announc\u00ader for the over\u00adall col\u00adlec\u00adtion is also a bit weird, but it, too, is not some\u00adthing hold\u00ading the game back. The Mar\u00advel vs. Cap\u00adcom Fight\u00ading Col\u00adlec\u00adtion is the quin\u00adtes\u00adsen\u00adtial col\u00adlec\u00adtion of Ver\u00adsus games. It super\u00adsedes any oth\u00ader mod\u00adern Mar\u00advel col\u00adlec\u00adtion released in the past 15 years and is the best col\u00adlec\u00adtion of the bunch so far that Cap\u00adcom has released. The fact that it\u2019s all ear\u00adly Mar\u00advel Ver\u00adsus games in a mod\u00adern set\u00adting and read\u00adi\u00adly acces\u00adsi\u00adble makes this worth an imme\u00addi\u00adate purchase.<\/span><\/p>\n
