Adven\u00adture of a life\u00adtime races on the scene<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

Smooth with no chas\u00ader. Bee\u00adtle Adven\u00adture Rac\u00ading is like a fine cognac: No filler, no BS<\/span>. It\u2019s just a fine rac\u00ading game fea\u00adtur\u00ading the pop\u00adu\u00adlar-in-1999 redesigned Volk\u00adswa\u00adgen New Bee\u00adtle. Like that cognac, it\u2019s what you want in an expe\u00adri\u00adence, but you wish there was more at the end of the glass.<\/span>
\nBee\u00adtle Adven\u00adture Rac\u00ading, while short on sto\u00adry, is a rac\u00ading dream. There isn\u2019t much to the sto\u00adry oth\u00ader than you\u2019re rac\u00ading against oth\u00ader Bee\u00adtle dri\u00advers on six var\u00adied tracks. There are sev\u00ader\u00adal modes includ\u00ading a time tri\u00adal, cham\u00adpi\u00adonship and two-play\u00ader duel, but that\u2019s about it. You\u2019re also rac\u00ading with only Bee\u00adtles, though they vary in col\u00ador with dif\u00adfer\u00adent stats. There are two unlock\u00adable Bee\u00adtles, but that\u2019s pret\u00adty much all there is in terms of rewards. The depth real\u00adly lies in the tracks and their nooks and cran\u00adnies. There are a ton of secrets and short\u00adcuts that help in the point-gath\u00ader\u00ading modes or to shave time in the time tri\u00adals, and that sort of makes up for the lack of every\u00adthing else. Sort of.<\/span>
\nWhile the rewards are sparse, the pre\u00adsen\u00adta\u00adtion is not. Bee\u00adtle Adven\u00adture Rac\u00ading looks and plays won\u00adder\u00adful\u00adly. The envi\u00adron\u00adments look great for a Nin\u00adten\u00addo 64 game and real\u00adly make the game pop over\u00adall. And it also plays well. The rac\u00ading is smooth and lithe, mak\u00ading for a sat\u00adis\u00adfy\u00ading expe\u00adri\u00adence when tak\u00ading curves or final\u00adly land\u00ading a short\u00adcut path.<\/span>
\nOf spe\u00adcial note is the sound\u00adtrack. It\u2019s only six tracks plus a few oth\u00ader menu tunes, but this is a fan\u00adtas\u00adtic sound\u00adtrack. The tracks work well with the rac\u00ading locales, and almost all of them are bangers. Our long\u00adtime favorite is Mount May\u00adhem, the snow lodge moun\u00adtain track. We\u2019ve been bump\u00ading that as long as the game has been out in var\u00adi\u00adous for\u00admats, and 24 years lat\u00ader we con\u00adtin\u00adue to do so. It\u2019s that good and comes with high praise.<\/span>
\nOur only caveat with Bee\u00adtle Adven\u00adture Rac\u00ading is that the dif\u00adfi\u00adcul\u00adty lev\u00adel is slight\u00adly out of bal\u00adance. It could use some tweak\u00ading so that you see the lat\u00ader rac\u00ading tracks a lit\u00adtle more often. Giv\u00aden that it\u2019s hard to find some of the point box\u00ades on the tracks and you need them in order to earn con\u00adtin\u00adues, it should be eas\u00adi\u00ader to obtain for the lat\u00adter por\u00adtions of the game.<\/span>
\nAside from the pun\u00adish\u00ading dif\u00adfi\u00adcul\u00adty, the game is prac\u00adti\u00adcal\u00adly per\u00adfect. There isn\u2019t much to feast on, but when you can feast it\u2019s among if not the best rac\u00ading game on the N64<\/span>. It\u2019s a heck of an adven\u00adture whether you\u2019re a Bee\u00adtle enthu\u00adsi\u00adast or not. V dub or bust.<\/span><\/p>\n
